Dear Families,
We’re excited to share that Oak Harbor Parks and Recreation is partnering with our schools for a very special Arbor Day Celebration! This event is part of a 5-year, $1.5 million grant supporting environmental education and outdoor activities in our community. We are currently in Year 2 of 5, and this year is extra special — all five elementary schools will be participating together on the same day and time for the first time!
🌳 What’s Happening:
On
Friday, April 25, 2025, our school will take part in a fun-filled Arbor Day event right on our campus! Activities include:
-
Planting fruit trees on school grounds
- Storytelling sessions
- Chalk art stations
- A live demonstration by a professional tree climber in our wooded area
📸 School-Wide Photo – Let’s Make a Rainbow!
To wrap up our celebration, we’ll be taking a
school-wide photo, and we’d love every student to wear a
specific color t-shirt so we can create a rainbow effect!
Here are the color assignments:
- Kindergarten – Red
- 1st Grade – Orange
- 2nd Grade – Yellow
- 3rd Grade – Green
- 4th Grade – Blue
- Staff – Purple
Please help your child wear the appropriate color on the day of the event!
