Help Shape the Future of our School Facilities! Share Your Input by May 13!

During the 2023-2024 school year, the Oak Harbor Public Schools created a Capital Facilities Advisory Committee (CFAC) to help shape the development of a Long-Term Facilities Master Plan. Now, it is the community's turn to weigh in on priorities for our school facilities! Please note, no decisions have been made at this time and we are currently only soliciting input on potential priorities for future planning.

Oak Harbor elementary art teachers hosted students and families for the 22nd Annual Elementary Art Walk in downtown last night. 2D art pieces and small sculptures line the windows and inside of businesses along Pioneer Way in downtown - just in time for the Whidbey Island Culture Festival this weekend! You'll find many of our students and staff participating in the festival. Be sure to tag @OakHarborPS with your parade and student art photos on social media!

Thank you to the businesses who partnered with our schools to display student art, to the families, staff, and community members who came out to celebrate our young artists, and to our Oak Harbor High School culinary arts students who provided delicious cookies and drinks for attendees.

Thank you to our Oak Harbor community for supporting art education in all of our schools!

Midway Plant Sale is May 8!

Each year the class culminates with a community plant sale and an exploration of careers related to Horticulture.

This year's plant sale will be on Thursday, May 8, 2:30-4:30 p.m. at the school district building's back parking lot, 350 S Oak Harbor Street. We have some very special guests at Oak Harbor Intermediate School! For the fourth year in a row, baby deer (fawns) have made the school's garden their sanctuary.

Rest assured, the area is currently coned off to give them a safe and quiet place to rest until their mother returns. We've captured a photo from a safe distance so you can admire their cuteness without disturbing their peace.
